The County Planning Office is responsible for reviewing all development / subdivision, lot split and other land plans submitted to the County Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners.

All plans are reviewed for compliance with Wyoming State Statutes and County Regulations.  The County Planner and Assistant County Planner answer questions regarding lot splits and subdivisions and serve as advisors to the Johnson County Planning and Zoning Commission.

The department also prepares, maintains, modifies and administers various county regulations related to planning and zoning.  Staff also work on special projects assigned by the Board of County Commissioners.
